Are you looking to get more Talisman Pouches in Elden Ring?
In Elden Ring, Talismans are an important item – mainly dropped by bosses and enemies – that can help you achieve a particular effect. For example, Great-Jar’s Arsenal Talisman can increase your equipment load by 20%.
This means you can use heavier and more equipment with ease.
Talisman Pouch is a key item in the Elden Ring that allows you to carry more Talismans at a time. In the game, there are a total of 4 Talisman Pouches.
You start with one Talisman Pouch and can acquire three more by defeating bosses. This takes your total Talisman equipment slots to 4.
So, in other words, if you want to carry more stuff in Elden Ring, you need more Talisman Pouches.
In this quick guide, we will discuss the Talisman Pouches, their locations, how to get them, and also how to use the Talisman Pouches.
So, let’s jump into it.
Locations of Talisman Pouches in Elden Ring
As I mentioned, Talisman Pouches are primarily acquired by killing powerful bosses. However, one Talisman Pouch can be simply rewarded to you as a token by Enia.
Once acquired, these pouches will increase your Talisman slots from the default single slot to a total of four. You start with one Talisman Pouch by default, and you can collect the other three at these locations:
- Location 1: Stormveil Castle in West Limgrave
- Location 2: Leyndell, Royal Capital in Altus Plateau
- Location 3: Roundtable Hold
Let’s discuss what you must do to get Talisman Pouches in these locations.
➡️ Location 1: Stormveil Castle in West Limgrave
Limgrave is the region where you start in Elden Ring. I do not recommend heading directly to the Stormveil Castle to acquire the first Talisman Pouch. As you will have to defeat Margit, the Fell Omen (an area boss), for the pouch.
I suggest you explore the Weeping Peninsula as an Elden Ring beginner. You can perfect your combat moves and collect enough Runes to level up for your first major boss fight. Check out our Elden Ring beginner tips for a comprehensive guide!
You will have an intense fight with Margit, be prepared. I had to try three times myself, so ensure that you’re appropriately leveled up.
You can get the first Talisman Pouch when Margit, the Fell Omen, is killed.
➡️ Location 2: Leyndell, Royal Capital in Altus Plateau
Altus Plateau is the northern region in the Lands Between. In this region, go to Leyndell, Royal Capital. You will find a few bosses, but for a Talisman Pouch, you must defeat Godfrey, the First Elden Lord.
Note: If you bypassed Margit in the Stormveil Castle, then you can defeat Morgott, the Omen King in Leyndell, Royal Capital, and get your first Talisman Pouch.
You will fight the spectral version of Godfrey, the First Elden Lord. The actual Godfrey is located at Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
(And do not make the mistake of underestimating the powers of Godfrey in Ashen Capital based on his spectral version in Royal Capital! Trust me, just don’t.)
Once Godfrey’s spectral version is defeated, you will get the second Talisman Pouch.
Just East of the Altus Plateau lies Mountaintops of the Giants, a place with many hidden locations, bosses, and a fantastic region to explore on its own. Here you will find Malenia, the Blade of Miquella – the toughest boss in Elden Ring.
Malenia drops a Great Rune, 480,000 Runes, and Hand of Malenia – one of the best katanas in Elden Ring.
➡️ Location 3: Roundtable Hold
After defeating bosses, you get Great Runes; you need two Great Runes to get the third Talisman Pouch at Roundtable Hold. It will be rewarded to you by Enia, the Finger Reader, as a token for killing the mighty bosses.
If you do not get the Talisman Pouch as a reward from Enia, then you can buy it from Twin Maiden Husks’ Shop.
Using Talisman Pouches in Elden Ring
Many new players get confused about how to use the Talisman Pouches as there is no “Use” option when you select it.
You do not need to do anything to use the Talisman Pouch. The mechanics for this item is automatic. It will simply add an additional slot for talismans in the Equipment screen.
In those slots, you can equip any Talisman that you want. As you can now hold up to 4 talismans, it is crucial that you equip the right ones. Let’s see the best ones.
7 Best Talismans in Elden Ring
There are 100+ Talismans available in Elden Ring, but not all of them are useful. As each player’s build is different, there can be Talismans that can enhance their build’s capabilities.
However, here are some of the best Talismans in Elden Ring that you should equip, no matter what’s your build.
Talisman | Effect | Location |
---|---|---|
Great Jar’s Arsenal | Raises maximum equip load by +19% | Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow |
Blessed Dew Talisman | Restores 2HP per second | Leyndell, Royal Capital |
Flamedrake Talisman [+1 and +2 variants available] | Negates fire damage by 13% | Groveside Cave |
Claw Talisman | Increases jump attack damage by 15% | Stormveil Castle |
Radagon Icon | Shortens the casting time of spells | Raya Lucaria Academy |
Gold Scarab | Blood loss in the vicinity increases attack power | Abandoned Cave, Caelid |
Lord of Blood’s Exultation | Blood loss in vicinity increases attack power | Leyndell Catacombs |
Final Thoughts
So, now that you know everything about Talisman Pouches and their locations. Go ahead and grab them.
Since the maximum number of Talismans you can hold at a time is 4, I suggest you swap between the best Talismans that I discussed above.
For example, if you equip Gold Scarab while killing the sleeping dragon Greyoll in Caelid, you can get 60,000 Runes in total.
