A Gold Jointed Bracelet in Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the three items required to make an Alligator Tooth Talisman. It permanently decreases the speed at which the Dead Eye core drains by 10%.
You can rob a Gold Jointed Bracelet off any woman traveling in trains, but that will severely affect Arthur’s honor. Also, you don’t know how many women NPCs you’ll have to rob before you get the bracelet.
So, if you are like me, who likes to hold high honor, here is an alternative way to acquire the valuable bracelet without robbing anyone.
In this Red Dead Redemption 2 guide, I will show you 6 locations to find a Gold Jointed Bracelet. You can collect all 6 of them, but you just need 1 to sell to a Fence, along with a Legendary Alligator Tooth and Vintage Civil War Handcuffs, and get Alligator Tooth Talisman in return.
So, let’s dive into the article.🤠
Gold Jointed Bracelet Locations in RDR2
You can loot Gold Jointed Bracelets anywhere in the RDR2 world. You do not need one till Chapter 4, so there is no need to go hunting for this item early on in the game.
Get yourself acclimatized to the beautiful world of the Wild West, find some map fragments so you have the complete RDR2 world map, and then look for the Gold Jointed Bracelet.
Location 1: Adler Ranch (Chapter 1)
As I said, you do not need a Gold Jointed Bracelet till you complete Chapter 4, but if you want to collect one early, you can do so in Chapter 1. To get the first Gold Jointed Bracelet, go to Adler Ranch, a homestead in the Grizzlies West region of the Ambarino territory.
Yes, this is the same ranch you visit in the first storyline mission of Chapter 1, Outlaws from the West. The place is burned down after you rescue Sadie from some goons.
Get on your horse and visit the Adler Ranch in the Ambarino territory. By the way, do check out our guide on some of the best horses in RDR2.
Inside Adler Ranch, you can find the first Gold Jointed Bracelet lying on the bedside table. In some cases, you won’t find the bracelet. You can pick up either a gold ring, a gold watch, or the elusive Gold Jointed Bracelet.
If you miss the bracelet in Chapter 1 or get any other random jewelry instead of the bracelet, your only option is to restart the game and try again. Or, look for the bracelet at other locations if you are already beyond the first chapter.
Location 2: Twin Stack Pass
You can find the Gold Jointed Bracelet in Twin Stack Pass, a natural formation in The Heartlands region of the New Hanover territory.
Once you’re at the location, find this abandoned wagon. You will see a treasure chest hidden beneath the wagon. However, I recommend not searching it right away.
Finding valuable items in the world of RDR2 is a happenstance, and many players know this. So, I recommend you first save the game in an empty slot and then search the chest.
This way, if you do not get the Gold Jointed Bracelet in your first search, you can just reload the game, visit the wagon again, and search the chest again.
It took me two attempts to find the Gold Jointed Bracelet inside the chest. On the first attempt, I found a random Gold Necklace. Along with the bracelet, you can find Chewing Tobacco, Kentucky Bourbon, and Ginseng Elixir.
You can give the necklace to Tilly in the camp to fulfill her companion item request and get 2X Health Cure as a reward. It fully restores health and fortifies slightly.
You can carry the bottle of Kentucky Bourbon to the camp and fulfill Sean’s companion request. As a reward, he will make some Fire Bottles for you and leave them outside Arthur’s tent.
To find and complete all of these, you can take a look at our RDR2 companion item requests guide.
Location 3: Southfield Flats
The next location where you can find a Gold Jointed Bracelet is inside a hut in Southfield Flats in the Scarlett Meadows region of the Lemoyne territory.
You will find Robard Farm in the middle of the fields. Inside the residence, you will see two corpses, a man and a woman, that met a violent death. Behind the house, you will find a third corpse and a letter that will tell you what happened at the farm.
But, since you are here only to collect the Gold Jointed Bracelet, go inside the house and look to your left. You can collect a random jewelry item off the shelf. If you are lucky, you can get the Gold Jointed Bracelet on the first attempt itself.
Again, I recommend you save the game before you enter the house. Because if you do not get the bracelet on the first try, just reload and re-enter the house to look for it.
Location 4: Start the Landmark of the Riches Quest
If you crave adventure or a treasure quest, you should surely start the Landmark of the Riches quest. To start this quest, find a structure (obelisk) northwest of the Owanjila lake.
On a side note, just near the shores of the Owanjila Lake, you can find the first Rock Carving in the Geology for Beginners side mission. Finding all the ten Rock Carvings will reward you with an Old Brass Compass, which you can use to craft the Raven Claw Talisman.
Inspect the structure, and Arthur will take out his journal to draw the obelisk.
Arthur could have been a good sketch artist, if not a gangster, don’t you think? 😆
Go behind the structure and find the hidden clue inside the structure.
You will get the first clue, a document, that will start the Landmarks of Riches treasure quest.
You need to open your satchel and inspect the document.
The first clue will guide you to the second clue – a tiny church. Keep the clue back into your satchel, get on your horse, and follow me.
You will find the tiny church in Lakay, a camp hideout in the Bayou Nwa region of the Lemoyne territory.
This is the tiny church where the second clue is hiding. You can enter the church and inspect the golden cross – it looks valuable, but unfortunately, you can’t loot it. 🤷♂️
When you inspect the golden cross inside the church, Arthur will sketch it in his journal. That’s it; that’s all there is to do inside the church.
Climb the church’s roof and find the second clue hidden inside the steeple. You can do this step directly without inspecting the church.
Landmark of the Riches Map 2 is collected.
Inspect the document, and you will find a picture of a turtle.
Now, head northeast of the Bacchus Station, and you will find a mysterious hill house that looks like a turtle.
This is the mysterious hill house that looks like a turtle. Doesn’t this remind you of the Shire from the Hobbit film series? 😃
You need to climb up the roof and find a broken window. Search this broken window.
You will find the fourth Gold Jointed Bracelet.
You will also find the third clue for the Landmark of the Riches treasure quest. Inspect the document to find the next clue. If you continue this quest, you can collect six gold bars.
But since I was only looking for the Gold Jointed Bracelet. I left the quest unfinished.
Location 5: Talk to Hosea and Seamus at Emerald Ranch
Now, to collect the fifth Gold Jointed Bracelet, head to Emerald Ranch in New Hanover. You must talk to Hosea first and then the Fence at Emerald Ranch, Seamus.
After a little argument, Hosea and Arthur agree to prove themselves to Seamus, which really upsets Arthur.
Seamus will subtly ask you to eliminate his cousin (by marriage) and give you his location – a farmhouse called Carmody Dell.
Visit the farmhouse whenever you want and sneak into the residence. Loot as much as you can, then head to the first floor. You will find a Gold Jointed Bracelet inside the drawers.
Location 6: Hanging Dog Ranch
Now, head to Hanging Dog Ranch in the Big Valley region of the West Elizabeth territory. Please remember that this is a gang hideout in RDR2 for O’Driscoll boys, so keep a weapon handy.
When you reach the ranch, do not enter it right away. Find yourself a good vanguard point to shoot down the enemies.
Once you are in your position, shoot down the O’Driscoll boys. Use the Dead Eye for some assistance, as you will be going against probably a few O’Driscoll gang members. And you can also check out our guide for Dead Eye in RDR2 to increase its levels.
After you have shot everyone down, try to enter the ranch. The door will most possibly be locked, so use a handgun to break open the window.
Sneak into the ranch through the window and loot as many items as possible. You will find the last Gold Jointed Bracelet inside the shelf.
On a side note, you might have to upgrade your satchel. Arthur’s satchel tops at 5, so to collect the sixth bracelet, upgrade the satchel at the camp by talking with Mr. Pearson.
Conclusion
So, in this Red Dead Redemption 2 guide, I showed how you can collect not one, not two, but six Gold Jointed Bracelets across the Wild West.
I’d like to stress that you do not need to go on these adventures for the bracelet, as you only need one to craft the Alligator Tooth Talisman. So, you can simply take the bracelet in Chapter One from Adler Ranch.
Or, if you miss that, try the method I showed at Twin Stack Pass. You might need a couple of tries, but eventually, you will get the bracelet.
