Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Announced
Ubisoft is expanding upon the story of Prince of Persia series of games with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. It is an action-adventure platformer that lets you play with the concept of time and space. You will face plenty of enemies and mythological creatures in the game. To win against them, get adept in combat and platforming and learn to use your Time Powers well. Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown will launch across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Amazon Luna on January 18, 2024.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Announced
Yes, Square Enix announced Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the next part in the Final Fantasy remake trilogy. In this second game of the trilogy, Cloud Strife and his friends have got some mysteries to uncover and get to the truth behind them. Plus, there are new ways they can fight together. While the exact launch date is not revealed, Square Enix is looking at an early 2024 release. The game will launch exclusively on PS5.
A New Sonic Game is Coming this Year
Publisher Sega announced Sonic Superstars, a new sidescrolling adventure that also allows co-op action with up to four players. Besides Sonic, you have Knuckles, Tails, and Amy Rose to choose from. Sonic Superstars is a more modern take on classic 2D Sonic platforming. With new Emerald powers, you get some new moves (literally) and fresh attack styles. Your arena of action is the Northstar Islands, where you have to stop the evil plans of Dr. Eggman, Fang, and a new threat from coming to fruition. The game launches this Fall across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
Like A Dragon: Gaiden Gets a Release Date
Like a Dragon: Gaiden is a third-person action game. The game is developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by Sega. Kazuma Kiryu, the protagonist, wanted to protect his family, and for that, he faked his death. But the story is not over yet as he returns in this spinoff title. Indulge in fisticuffs, show off some martial arts moves, and even utilize nearby objects to deal with the mob. The game is scheduled for a November 9 release this year on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
Optimus Prime is Surely Coming to Fortnite
Teaming up with another famous creative franchise, Fortnite will host the Transformers (at least some of them) during Fortnite Wilds, Chapter 4 Season 3 of the game. The recently unveiled trailer of the battle royale game showed Optimus Prime, leader of the Autobots, which confirmed the Transformers crossover.
Star Trek: Infinite Revealed
Swedish video games developer Paradox Interactive announced a new Star Trek game called Star Trek: Infinite. Argentine game developer Nimble Giant Entertainment is on development duty for this grand strategy game. The story is set six years before the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation. You can choose one from the four mighty powers — the United Federation, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union, and the Klingons — and begin your space adventure.
We got to see a short trailer of the game in which not much was revealed. But more details on the game are coming out soon, as the full game reveal takes place on June 16. The game launches on PC and Mac this autumn itself.
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is Coming
John Carpenter’s Toxic Commando is an upcoming FPS game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Entertainment. Revealed in a trailer, the game offers co-op action. In the game, the entity causing mayhem in the world is the Sludge God. As a member of the Toxic Commando unit, you’ll have to deal with and dispose of the hordes of the undead and basically have this small responsibility of nothing less than saving the planet. At your disposal will be a comprehensive arsenal of weapons and firearms and also, military vehicles. Toxic Commando launches on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2024.
Stellaris Nexus Announced
Stellaris Nexus is a 4X turn-based social strategy indie RPG that gives you a time limit to complete the match in under an hour. The game is developed by UK-based studio Whatboy Games and published by Paradox Arc. As the matches are time-bound, you get one hour to play against up to 5 other players. You can also enter into matches against random people worldwide. It will be made available in early access later this year itself.
Bandai Namco’s action game Sand Land announced
Sand Land is an upcoming action game from Japanese gaming giant Bandai Namco. It is an anime RPG where apart from up, close and personal combat, you also get to take control of vehicles in the harsh terrain. The game will launch on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The launch date of the title has not been revealed yet.
King Arthur: Legends Rise to Launch on PC and Mobile
We also saw the announcement of a new fantasy squad RPG called King Arthur: Legends Rise. The game will be developed and published by Kabam Games. It is an action RPG built on Unreal Engine 5. It supports cross-platform play and will launch on PC and mobile.
Space Trash Scavenger Heads to Early Access this October
As is evident from the name, Space Trash Scavenger will have you scavenge for trash in space. But since you need to have a base to operate from, you’ll have to build one first. Then come the challenges of defending it. It is yet another game from Paradox to be announced during the Summer Game Fest. Explore the space for scraps and also defend your Space Rig base, which is owned by the waste disposal company Scav-X. The game will be available in early access this October.
Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior Announced
Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior is an isometric hack-n-slash game currently being developed by French developer Sand Door Studio. It will be published by French publisher Quantic Dream. In this game, you lead the army of your own clones to fight against an old evil. The game will launch on PC, but we don’t have a release date yet.
