It’s good news for PlayStation fans as Sony has finally announced three new games for the PS Plus Essential subscription for July. In the latest update, Sony is adding Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, Endling: Extinction is Forever, and Alan Wake Remastered. The games will be replacing the games added to the Essential tier in June – NBA 2K23, Jurrasic World Evolution 2, and Trek to Yomi.
All three new games will be up for grabs starting today for both PS4 and PS5. To get your hands on the games, you just need to visit the PS Plus section and claim the free games. Moving forward in this article, we will give you a basic brief of the mentioned games.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
This one can be dubbed as one of the most promising offerings from the CoD franchise. The game is set in the times of the geopolitical battle in the early 1980s due to the Cold War. As a gamer, you will get to see multiple historical figures and battles in places like Turkey, Vietnam, Soviet KGB headquarters, East Berlin, etc.
You will play as an upper-crust operative who follows the trail of a not-so-popular figure on a mission to change the course of history by altering the balance of power. In addition, the game is topped with a Zombie Mode, making it more engaging and replayable. The game also comprises a Battle Pass, and to will get to experience the latest Season Six and its innumerable add-ons.

Alan Wake Remastered
If you are someone who loves cinematic action games, then Alan Wake Remastered is going to charm you in no time. In the game, you have to play as perturbed author Alan Wake who sets off on a journey in search of his missing wife, Alice.
The most intriguing part of the game is that the journey Alan embarks on is based on a horror story written by him that he had no clue or memory of. The story comes true in front of his naked eyes, and the presence of supernatural entities overpowers him. The protagonist is left with no other option but to wage war against the forces of darkness.

Endling: Extinction is Forever
This game is a unique approach to the idea of extinction. You play as a mother fox who has to survive on an Earth destroyed by humankind. Your goal will be to save your cubs from all the difficulties that they are going to cross paths with. These cubs will develop their personalities and fears, making the game lively.
The game is nothing but a battle that is being fought on the brink of death. You have to plan everything accordingly to be alive. You will need three things to play this game right now – a PS Plus Essential tier subscription, a PlayStation console not older than PS4 (which is pretty obvious), and survival instincts.
