Beating the crap out of your in-game enemies is fun, but doing it alongside your friend/family seems like therapy. Emotions are through the roof. If you have played co-op games before, then you must be aware of what I am trying to state. So here I’m back again with a list of co-op games that you can enjoy with your loved ones on PS5.
Why Do Gamers Love Co-Op Games?
Co-op games stand for cooperative games, and the main moto of this genre is enjoyment, teamwork, and creating strong bonds with other individuals. Taking things further, if we look at other genres, games are getting more and more competitive. More competition means more stress and hard work.
But that’s not the case with co-op games. Here are a few things we love about co-op games.
Players don’t have to compete with each other, and winning is not the sole motive. When it comes to multiplayer games, the idea is to have some fun with your buddies or family members. You can just kick back, relax, and create some awesome memories together. It’s all about having a good time and enjoying each other’s company.
➡️ Escaping Reality
Suppose you had a tiring day at the office and you came home to play some games. So, you decide to get your hands on competitive games, and you start getting sniped by a 14-year-old, and the mocking that follows is frustrating.
Co-op games are a great way to forget about the stresses of the day and just have some fun with friends. Plus, they leave you feeling positive and refreshed for the next day. More often than not, you don’t have to deal with the negativities of competitive gaming in most co-op games.
➡️ A Lot of Fun
When I’m playing co-op games with my friends, I want them to die in-game so that I can roast them — sometimes, Karma hits. However, every incident ends in laughter. And this is what makes the experience more memorable.
I know you can relate a lot to this. Deep down, we all enjoy such moments to the fullest, and this is what makes the genre loved by many.
Why Play Co-op Games on PS5?
So the question is, why PS5? The answer is simple; the PS5 is one of the most advanced consoles available right now. Thanks to new technology, it takes your gaming experience to a whole another level. Starting off, you get 4K resolution with HDR support, which makes the graphics realistic and the games more immersive. Additionally, the PS5 controller comes with adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. This feature gives a more appealing and tactical gaming experience.
How can we forget about the 3D audio? PS5 comes with a 3D audio system for an immersive sound experience. Lastly, do I have to explain how powerful PS5 is and how smoothly games run on the console with 4K graphics and 60FPS?
I don’t want to keep you hanging, so let’s dive into the list of best co-op games for PS5.
It Takes Two
It Takes Two has been developed by Electronic Arts (EA), which is exactly what it sounds like. In order to conquer the game, it takes two players to join hands and work together. You and your partner will go on an adventure in an animated universe.
Throughout the game, you and your friend will find themselves solving puzzles that require mutual coordination. Additionally, you will experience some amazing action, paving your way through different locations/environments. You also have to deal with some challenges, fight robotic villains, and ride creatures to explore the game world.
Additionally, the game won the “Game Of the Year” award at The Game Awards in 2021, and if we talk about other achievements, then it’ll take far longer. So what are you waiting for? Go get your friends and family and enjoy the adventure.

Overcooked! – All You Can Eat
If I say you and your friends have to cook food in a haunted house, will you do it? Obviously not! But you can do that virtually in Overcooked. This game offers a fast-paced, chaotic environment where you, along with a bunch of friends, have to cook food.

Well, one thing that I have to admit is the creativity in the name of the game. KeyWe sounds more like Kiwi, and that’s the character you and your friend are going to play. You and your friend will play two kiwi birds named Jeff and Debra, who work at the Bungalow Basin Telepost Office.
As we all know that Kiwis cannot fly, so keeping that concept in mind, in the game, your wings are useless. The goal of the game is to sort mail and deliver it on time by using the kiwis’ beaks, feet, and butts to operate levers, bells, and buttons.
Throughout the game, you and your partner Kiwi have to go through multiple levels, challenges, and puzzles. So, put yourself into the feet of a flightless bird and take a stroll through the calling environment, which requires teamwork and problem-solving skills.
